How does the Shopify connection work?

How does the Meta Ads connection work?

You authenticate with Facebook and select your business, ad account, and optionally a campaign. We pull spend, CPM, CTR, CPC, and daily spend data directly from the Meta Marketing API.

How does the Google Ads connection work?

You authenticate with Google via OAuth 2.0 and select your Google Ads customer account. We retrieve campaign cost, interaction rate, average CPC, impressions, and daily spend directly from the Google Ads API.

How does the WooCommerce connection work?

You provide your WooCommerce store URL and API credentials. We securely connect to your store's REST API to pull total revenue, total orders, and daily sales data.

Why is the ad spend multiplied by 1.15?

Accepted Answer

South African VAT is 15%. We multiply your Meta and Google ad spend by 1.15 to show the VAT-inclusive amount, giving you the true cost of advertising. For example, R10,000 in ad spend displays as R11,500.

How is Cost Per Order calculated?

Cost Per Order = Total Ad Spend (including VAT) ÷ Total Orders. This gives you the true advertising cost per order placed, including VAT.

What date ranges can I select?

You can choose Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, Last 6 Months, Last 12 Months, or a fully custom date range. All Shopify, WooCommerce, Meta Ads, and Google Ads API queries use exactly the selected time range.

What currency is used in the reports?

All currency is displayed in South African Rand (R), formatted as R 0.00. Revenue, ad spend, average order value, and cost per order all use this format.

Can I add more data sources in the future?

Yes. While Shopify, WooCommerce, Meta Ads, and Google Ads are fully supported today, the platform is built to support TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Google Search Console, and Google Merchant Center in the future.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. We use OAuth authentication, encrypted token storage, server-side API key management, automatic token refresh, and graceful handling of expired connections. API keys are never exposed to the frontend.
